Hadijah Ndagire

Executive Director

Hadijah is a social worker, born and raised in Uganda. Moved to Canada in 2018 and lives in BC ever since. Hadijah has experience working with marginalized community of Downtown Eastside Vancouver working with Downtown Eastside Women’s Center, has experience working with refugees and immigrates/ new comers to Canada, supporting them through their transition and better settlement, connections to community resources and help them to file the necessary documentation to become residents of Canada. Hadijah is also a volunteer coordinator for the African Descent Festival in Vancouver.

Godas Muhoza

President

Born and raised in Tanzania Kibondo July 1st 1998, Godas is a singer who has lived in Canada for 15 years. Godas speaks three languages, English, Kirundi,and Swahili. Haveing 13 years of experience, singing has always been a part of her life. As a kid growing up she never considered music as a big part of her life and didn’t start taking it serious until the age of 12. Godas Muhoza is a Burundian Buja, bongo flava recording artist, R&B,pop,Afro singer, her influences are people like Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera and Whitney Huston. With plenty of opportunities she has managed to perform at many places such as the African festival, Sarah McLachlan school of music, the Richmond night market and many more. As for people who go to therapy, when life gets hard she runs to music.

Irene S Nviiri

Programs Manager

Irene is an Entrepreneur, Personal development and financial coach helping individuals, groups, and communities to live a meaningful life.
Irene is the Programs Director for Africana School of Performing Arts and Bamusanyusa Cultural Troupe, and the Vendors Coordinator for African Descent Festival which is among the largest annual social events in Vancouver, BC.

Rlynex Casper Smart

Instuctor/Trainer

Rlynex is a Ugandan – Canadian Singer and Artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Born Nalwadda Everlyn Becky.
Her roots can be traced to the Pearl of Africa -Uganda, from where she was born and raised.
She speaks and sings in numerous languages including Luganda her mother tongue,
English and Kiswahili.
Her art revolves around Singing, Song Writing, Acting, Modeling, Fashion, Filmmaking
amongst other things.
Being an Afrobeats singer her music cuts across Dancehall, Ragga, Reggae, Pop and Zouk.
She also went to Langara College of Film Acting for a Diploma in Arts and Science in 2020.
Since then, she has worked on set with numerous film studios and a few Independent films.
She has also collaborated on various student films all around Vancouver.
She’s part of Afrocity Music which is an Afrobeats Duo working with Frontline Records.
We’re thrilled to have her on the team as our Trainer.
Nurturing these young prodigies.
